Toilets around the world pt20 – The Dorchester, Park Lane, London

This toilet is different from the average posh hotel bog. The old world door to the men’s room reminds you that you are in a hotel that is a bit more upmarket than the Travelodge, the marble lined room even more so. What really separates this form other posh bogs is the rose by the sink and the monogrammed hand towels.

In a word, a posh pee, but you have to spend much more than a penny (thank you to the father of the bride), to use these facilities.

I am impressed they knew you were about to spend a penny and had the foresight to add the “AO” monogramme to the hand towels, that is the level of attention to detail that Travelodge strives for but fails…
And kudos to the ‘Dorch’ for recognising AO as one of the world’s foremost experiential toilet b(l)og site writiers.
